Celebrating the VIII Mexican Folk Festival
In the Bronx
The committee Guadalupano of Our Lady of Refuge in the Bronx invites you to their “VIII Annual Mexican Folk festival”, which its main purpose is to maintain its Mexican roots live on in New York City . This event will be in Our Lady of Refuge gymnasium located at 290 East 196 Street. It will take place on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m.
There will be typical Mexican dances presented by danced groups: Estampas Folkloricas Mexicanas, Ballet Folklorico de Nueva York, Nuestra Señora del Refugio, San Juan Diego, Nueva Juventud, Citlaliztli, Juventud Azteca, Herencia Azteca, Yavidaxiu y Tlaloc.
The Mexican singers will be: Felipe Bravo and Ricardo Rios.
To cover the events expenses the entrance fee is Seventh dollars.
To arrive at the event, take the D train to Kingsbridge Rd/196 St. (This event will be in Spanish).
For months, members of each group have been preparing for this grand event. They practice their dance piece for perfection making sure that they are well prepared to present themselves for a great show. Since the event has become an annual thing it is now a tradition that it takes place in the borough of Bronx . Apart from demonstrating their art and giving of a great show to their audience, they are also helping out to preserve the Mexican culture in the Big Apple.
Hundreds of admirers of the Mexican culture show up to the festival and are amused to see a vast amount of dance pieces being presented. Each dance piece represents a certain region of Mexico such as, Chiapas, pasando por Veracruz, Puebla, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Guerrero, Yucatan, Baja California Sur , amongst many other regions.
The committee Guadalupano of Our Lady of Refuge was founded 14 years ago. During these years they have dedicated themselves to help our many different causes benefiting the community.

Este Domingo se celebrará en el Bronx el VIII Festival Folklorico Mexicano
El comité Guadalupano de Nuestra Señora del Refugio en el Bronx, le invita a su “VIII Festival Folklórico Mexicano” el cual tiene como propósito principal el de mantener vivas nuestras raices mexicanas en la ciudad de Nueva York.
Este evento se realizará en el gymnasio de la iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Refugio en el Bronx que esta localizada en el 290 East 196 Street. El Domingo, 28 de Marzo, 2010 empezando a la 1 PM.
Habrá bailes tipicos mexicanos presentados por los ballets: Estampas Folkloricas Mexicanas, Ballet Folklorico de Nueva York, Nuestra Señora del Refugio, San Juan Diego, Nueva Juventud, Juventud Azteca, Cetiliztli, Herencia Azteca, Yavidaxiu y Tlaloc.
Los cantantes invitados son: Felipe Bravo y Ricardo Rios.
Habra venta de antojitos mexicanos.
Precio de la entrada es de siete dolares para cubrir los gastos del evento.
Para llegar al festival, tome el tren D hasta la estación de Kingsbridge RD/196 St.
Los miembros de cada ballet se preparan para este gran evento con mucha emoción, que como ya es tradición, cada año se realiza en el condado del Bronx. Los integrantes de los ballets, en su mayoria jovenes México-Americanos, aparte de mostrar su arte y entretener a los asistentes, tambien estan ayudando a conservar la cultura mexicana en la Gran Manzana.
Cientos de admiradores de la cultura mexicana asisten a este festival en el cual se presentan una gran variedad de bailes tipicos mexicanos. Empezando desde Chiapas, pasando por Veracruz, Puebla, Jalisco, Sinaloa, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Guerrero, Yucatan, Baja California Sur, entre otros.
El Comité Guadalupano de Nuestra Señora del Refugio fue fundado hace 14 años. Durante todos estos años se han destacado por apoyar diferentes causas en beneficio de la comunidad.

A beautiful Latina wedding in the Bronx, NYC.
Katherine and Jack had a beautiful wedding. The ceremony and reception was in the Bronx. We also went to Central Park, NYC to take pictures. The couple and their guests were friendly and nice. I loved being their photographer.
La boda de Katherine y Jack fue hermosa. La ceremonia y recepcion fue en el Bornx. Tambien fuimos al Parque Central a tomar fotos. La pareja y sus invitados fueron muy lindos. Me encanto ser su fotografo.
